Design your baby's sweet swaddle!  This listing is for a 1  layer infant swaddle. It will be a finished 45" square. What does this mean? It means the edges are double rolled and sewn, and not simply serged. I've found that serged swaddles do not last as long, as the exposed threads get caught on more things. The rolled edges eliminate this issue! These are also great as nursing covers as well.

Don't get rid of your swaddles after baby outgrows them! Swaddles have many uses: Keep a few in the car as a cover for car rides, a blanket to sit on at the park, you can tie them together at the corners to make a larger knotted blanket, add them to your childs dress-up box, etc. I'm sure with your creativity, you'll find many uses for them too!
Check out my fabric offerings on my Double Gauze Fabric Options page.

Shannon Fabrics double gauze is one of the highest quality double gauze on the market! It gets softer with every wash, so don't let it fool you when you first receive your blanket! Give it a wash on cold water, and dry on low heat. You'll soon see why double gauze is such a beloved fabric!

Due to the nature of double gauze, try to keep it away from Velcro, zippers,

DYO - Swaddle double gauze Blanket

  • Care Instructions

Embrace blankets should be washed in cold water and dried on low heat. The manufacturer recommends line drying for best results. I have always dried mine on low heat and haven't had any issues.

As this fabric is made up of double gauze, it is a bit more fragile than a standard cotton blanket. Sometimes you might find a thread pull on your blanket. Please do NOT pull the thread! Instead, simply clip it off close to the blanket. The fibers will shrink back and the area will not look any different.

  • My current turn around time is about 2 weeks for in-stock fabrics. If your fabric must be ordered, please add 2 weeks onto your delivery time.

Priority shipping is needed for my blankets, due to weight. I always reimburse any shipping overages over $1. This will be done immediately upon printing your shipping label.
